From Neolithic Revolution to industrialization

چکیده
Abstract This study develops a Malthusian model for the evolution of human society from hunting-gathering to agriculture and industrial production. Human evolves across these stages as population grows. However, under endogenous growth, may stop growing at any stage. If it fails reach first threshold, remains hunter-gatherers. reaches an agricultural emerges. Then, if in trap without experiencing industrialization. Interestingly, high productivity triggers not only Neolithic Revolution but also subsequent Using cross-country data test this result, we employ index prehistoric biogeographic conditions that affect instrument timing transitions find earlier transition has positive effect on industrialization modern era.

Toward a microbial Neolithic revolution in buildings.
The Neolithic revolution--the transition of our species from hunter and gatherer to cultivator--began approximately 14,000 years ago and is essentially complete for macroscopic food. Humans remain largely pre-Neolithic in our relationship with microbes but starting with the gut we continue our hundred-year project of approaching the ability to assess and cultivate benign microbiomes in our bodi...
متن کاملThe Neolithic revolution of bacterial genomes.
Current human activities undoubtedly impact natural ecosystems. However, the influence of Homo sapiens on living organisms must have also occurred in the past. Certain genomic characteristics of prokaryotes can be used to study the impact of ancient human activities on microorganisms. By analyzing DNA sequence similarity features of transposable elements, dramatic genomic changes have been iden...

diffusion and development: Ripple effects of the neolithic revolution
Are the Neolithic revolution’s effects still impacting incomes across the world today? I find strong support for this proposition using new, country-specific estimates of the timing of agricultural transition. While support with my data is slightly weaker than with the coarser data of Hibbs and Olsson (2004), I provide evidence that the differences are due to how technological diffusion is acco...
متن کاملThe Neolithic Revolution and Subsequent Emergence of the Celiac Affection
Evidence suggests that celiac disease initially emerged as a distinct intestinal disorder sometime after organization of hunter-gatherers into human workforces capable of agriculture, especially wheat cultivation. This Neolithic revolution possibly developed to permit competitive survival over other hunter-gatherer groups. Recent archeological data suggests that wheat cultivation may have occur...
